SNEAK EASILY Lobby Card
SNEAK EASILY ( 1932 ) was a 1932 Thelma Todd and Zasu Pitts comedy. The title appears to be a parody of SPEAK EASILY ( 1932 ), a comedy Thelma Todd had made with Buster Keaton.

Thelma Todd Newspaper Cartoons
A couple of newspaper cartoons featuring Thelma Todd that were posted in the Thelma Todd Fans Group on facebook.
The first is from SCREEN ODDITIES by Captain Roscoe Fawcett. We've had this one on the blog before.
The idea here is that Thelma Todd and ( presumably ) her husband Pat DiCicco are talking on the telephone because the bed is so large. Lupe Velez also used to have a great big bed.

HAP LEE'S MOVIE GAGS
HAP LEE'S MOVIE GAGS was a 1935 Big Little Book with jokes and pictures from the movies of the period.
The cover has caricatures of a number of movie stars, including Groucho Marx, Mae West, Jimmy Durante, Constance Bennett, Harpo Marx, Laurel and Hardy, Wallace Beery, William Powell, and Charlie Chaplin.
The spine of the book.
The same picture as on the front cover is on the back, flipped.
Charlie Chaplin, depicted with his cane on his shoulder again, as on the cover. "So you won't talk, eh?" refers to his continuing to make silent movies after the advent of talking pictures.
Groucho Marx.
Tbelma Todd and Robert Woolsey in HIPS, HIPS, HOORAY
The picture of Dorothy Lee and Bert Wheeler might be from the same movie, as they were all in it.
I thought the line was "You can be had," but I'm not sure. "You can be had" was a line Thelma Todd had in SITTING PRETTY which I thought was taken from Mae West. I don't recall seeing the movie where Mae West said the line in the first place.
Greta Garbo. I don't think I saw this movie.
Joan Blondell, minus some of her "bottom".
Harpo Marx. The text makes a reference to Philadelphia. I'm not sure how that fits in with a gag about reducing, but I remember reference to Philadelphia in comedies of that period. W.C. Fields would do that, and also Ginger Rogers in 42ND STREET ( 1933 ).
Marie Dressler and Wallace Beery.

Thelma Todd With The Bear, And Harry Langdon, Too
There was a bear they used to photograph all the girls with, here is a picture of Thelma Todd with him.
This scene was later depicted in a SCREEN ODDITIES cartoon, with the caption "Thelma Todd has even the bears eating out of her hand.
Thelma Todd and Harry Langdon with the bear, in SKY BOY ( 1929 ).
The Harry Langdon puzzle may also be related to this film, as it shows him in the polar regions.

Harry Langdon At The Roach Studio
Harry Langdon's career went into a decline after the coming of sound. In 1929 he made a series of two-reel comedies for Hal Roach, but it didn't last and he soon moved on to other studios, later returning to Roach as a gagman.

SITTING PRETTY
SITTING PRETTY was a 1933 Paramount production. This lobby card with Thelma Todd and Jack Oakie might give you the impression that Thelma Todd and Jack Oakie were a romantic couple in the movie, but actually she played an "other woman" in the story and you were supposed to be rooting for Ginger Rogers, who was supposed to have ended up with Jack Oakie at the conclusion.
