I didn't like that angle. It seems similar to something they had done in a prior movie with Zasu Pitts and Pert Kelton, SING AND LIKE IT, but it might also be just because it was the type of role Pert Kelton always had in the movies. It could also have something to do with the fact that the Roach studio had specialized in short subjects and weren't sure how to make a feature film starring Patsy Kelly, or a comedy team which included her.
