THE SECOND HUNDRED YEARS Press Sheet

THE SECOND HUNDRED YEARS is 1927 Laurel and Hardy comedy. It is one of their earliest films together at the Hal Roach studio and they were not yet billed as "Laurel And Hardy". This press sheet continues to use the series name "All Stars" for this film and also refers to Laurel and Hardy as "Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel".

Notice the picture of Dorothy Coburn on the front page, which can also be seen on the last lobby card on the second page. She appeared in several films at the studio in this period.

Thelma Todd, Fred Karno, And Harry Langdon Photo

I put a picture of Thelma Todd and Fred Karno on this blog at
 http://benny-drinnon.blogspot.com/2015/01/thelma-todd-and-fred-karno-photo.html .

The Hal Roach Studio page on facebook had some commentary about this photo that indicated it was taken during the production of THE FIGHTING PARSON in 1929, after which another photo was posted with additional commentary.

Tim Greer: Here's an image to confirm that the above image was taken during the filming of THE FIGHTING PARSON. To me, it looks like Thelma and Fred are wearing the same outfits (even down to the pen in Karno's coat pocket) as shown in this photo with Langdon.

The other photo for comparison.
