THE BLONDE BOMBER - GREEN HORNET #22

"The Blonde Bomber" was a variation of "blonde bombshell" which was used as a nickname for Carole Landis. We also see the term used to describe other girls during the World War II period. It was also the name of a comic book heroine, a girl newsreel photographer who traveled around with a comical sidekick getting into mischief.

Clara Bow's Birthday

Clara Bow and Thelma Todd were born on the same day a year apart. Here is a publicity picture for the Clara Bow movie THE SATURDAY NIGHT KID ( that's why Saturday is circled ) which mentions her birthday on the back.

A couple of other pictures for THE SATURDAY NIGHT KID.

Birthday Of Clara Bow

July 29 was also the birthday of Clara Bow, although she was born the year before. Publicity sometimes had it that they were both born on the very same day, but they weren't really.
