Here's ANOTHER NICE MESS



















ANOTHER FINE MESS was a 1931 film that Thelma Todd made with Laurel and Hardy. Related to this is a misquotation of one of Oliver Hardy's lines, when what he actually said was "Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!"


It was a misquotation - wasn't it?

So this is kind of interesting...at least to me. We all know that Oliver Hardy is often misquoted as having said, "Here's another FINE mess you've gotten me into." We know that the word was NICE not FINE. Many figured the mistake came from the Boys' 1930 short, "Another Fine Mess", but this trade paper shows that the original title was to be "Another Nice (Exhibitors Herald World - October 1930)
