I thought that I was about done with the fanzine business, but then this turned up again on facebook. Something that Cole Johnson did which is related to Thelma Todd's death. And someone who said everyone else talked about Thelma Todd's death too much could have done better at not having that focus himself.

I liked the Thelma Todd fanzine, but I didn't like all the arguments that came with it. They argued that I had been claiming that Luciano had murdered Thelma Todd without my doing that, and claimed that the Andy Edmonds book was my source for that story while I had seen it in other books before that, regardless of how I might have regarded that story.
Their fanzine had endorsed that story and that book in the first issue, I later found out. Something they might not want to have known, since the same group afterwards insisted that viewpoint could not be tolerated.
"Best book on the subject".
So this particular publication reversed it's position regarding that particular book. And that is that.

A Thelma Todd fanzine reprinting old material was put out by Cole Johnson in the 1990's.
One at Bottom is dated Spring 1998.
Cole Johnson was someone who published a number of fanzines, most of which had to do with comic strips. I used to get the one on Thelma Todd, but never saw the others. I couldn't tell you very much about Cole Johnson apart from what I later read about him, since he did not communicate with me very much. Eventually this changed to "not at all", for reasons best known to himself. Since he is no longer around to explain anything, I guess that no further explanations will be forthcoming.
