Roland West Photos
Roland West photos posted by Adam Tunney in the Thelma Todd Fans Group on facebook.
Roland West mourns Thelma's death.
In the posted picture above, you can see the Rudy Schafer, identifiable by the ring and watch, sitting upon something across from West. Here is his sitting awkwardly right next to him. I would surmise that photographers positioned them for this shot together.
Sid Grauman ( owner of "Grauman's Chinese Theater" ), Roland West & Rudy Schafer at the Coroner's Inquest.
If Mae Whitehead claimed that she accidentally forgot to give Thelma the key to her apartment, Roland West's "accidental death theory" falls perfectly into play. The other essential component was driver Ernest Peter's statement that he drove Thelma Todd back to the Café that night. Without those two statements, Thelma Todd could have gone anywhere that night only to have her body deposited in the garage by 10 am that Monday morning.

Roland West Photos
Roland West isn't one of my most favorite people, but here he is nonetheless.
Captions new and old. He'd been out of the news since the death of Thelma Todd, and when he died, they just reused an old picture they had on file.

Mae Whitehead
Mae Whitehead was Thelma Todd's maid.
Here we see her with Thelma Todd and Zasu Pitts.
It was Mae Whitehead who first discovered that Thelma Todd was dead.
Here we see Mae Whitehead at the funeral.
And here we see her waiting to testify during the investigation.
After the death of Thelma Todd, Mae Whitehead went to work for Patsy Kelly.
Behind the scenes picture taken on the set of NOBODY'S BABY.
We see in these pictures that Mae Whitehead was around while filming was going on, at first with Thelma Todd, and later with Patsy Kelly. Her employment by Patsy Kelly can be seen as a continuation of the job she had previously had, but in another's employ.

The items on the lower left of this section refer to Mussolini's war against Ethiopia. This was one of the actions that eventually led to the second World War.
Mussolini afterwards wanted Hal Roach to come to Italy to make movies and Rosina Lawrence would go to Italy to make one film. The rest of the movie industry had some complaints about the idea of Roach being associated with Mussolini, an Axis partner of Germany's Hitler.
