Hal Roach Gets A Special Oscar, 1984
Jackie Cooper and George "Spanky" McFarland present an Honorary Award to Hal Roach, in recognition of his unparalleled record of distinguished contributions to the motion picture art form, at the 56th Academy Awards. Hosted by Johnny Carson.
This is something that I saw when it was originally run on television. If I remember correctly, film clips from a few Hal Roach films were originally shown during this segment.

"The Murder Of Ted Healy"
This is the same story about Ted Healy having an affair with Thelma Todd ( which I question ), and Ted Healy getting killed by her ex-husband DiCicco, his cousin Cubby Broccoli. and Wallace Beery, which I understand is questioned by Bill Cassara, the author of a book about Healy.
Patsy Kelly is also mentioned, she worked with both Ted Healy and Frank Fay, and this has it that she became a bone of contention between them. Yes sir, men were always fighting over Patsy Kelly like that.

Fan Dancer Series Photos For Paramount
The fan dancer series again, and a couple without a fan in front of the same backdrop, I don't remember the last one.
Selling is a 7 3/8" X 9 1/2" Vintage Original Double-Weight, Linen backed glossy photo with borders of THELMA TODD taken in 1927 by photographer, GEORGE P. HOMMEL with Paramount Pictures. There is no photographer stamp but well documented this photo was taken by HOMMEL, thus an unmarked photo by HOMMEL. Sexy pre-code photo in the early years of THELMA TODD. She is only 21 years old in this photo. Her film career started in 1926 with one film that year. Extremely RARE early photo of THELMA TODD.
