Thelma Todd's Sidewalk Cafe











"Thelma Todd's Sidewalk Café" was a restaurant Thelma Todd operated in partnership with Roland West and Jewel Carmen in Santa Monica, near the Pacific Ocean.

Although the restaurant was said to have been losing money at the time of Thelma Todd's death, Roland West continued to operate it for years afterwards. 
 
 
 
"Chez Roland", as it was then called, in 1949.





 
 
 
 
Roland West left the Sidewalk Café to his widow, Lola Lane, who ended up giving the building to the Paulists, who used it as a center for the production of religious films.
