Roach Pathe Ads

Hal Roach comedies were being distributed by Pathe in the late twenties, before he switched to MGM. Here are ads for his comedies that were supplied to the newspapers during this period.

Although Laurel and Hardy appeared in DUCK SOUP, this ad doesn't mention them.  Madeline Hurlock, shown here, usually worked for Mack Sennett.

Although Laurel and Hardy were in LOVE 'EM AND WEEP, they were not mentioned in this ad.

Stan Laure is mentioned in WHY GIRLS LOVE SAILORS, but not Oliver Hardy, who was also in it.

Ad for SLIPPING WIVES doesn't mention Laurel and Hardy either.
