THE KING was a 1929 Hal Roach production, starring Harry Langdon and Thelma Todd. This publicity photo is stamped LOOK library on the back and has a notation that she was no longer among the living. The original caption states that Thelma Todd was in a number of MGM productions before she was "discovered" by Hal Roach. They might have said that because Roach's films were distributed by MGM at the time. Actually Thelma Todd's career began at Paramount.
